Updates for WVPP 2025
The WVPP package has been updated with several new items to ensure a complete SB 553 compliance program.
Here are the components of our 2025 WVPP program:
Session A for all employees: All staff takes Session A, which includes definitions, types of violence, essential prevention tips and techniques, risk factors, warning signs, how to de-escalate and diffuse a potentially volatile situation, and options for responding in case of a violent incident.
Session B for managers, supervisors, or anyone listed as a responsible person. Session B is optional, goes above SB 553 mandates, and is included in the package at no additional cost. Several clients asked for it and this makes the format consistent with other modules (harassment prevention, Diversity, and ADA). The session provides important insight on the manager’s role, avoiding a toxic workplace, and steps to take with bullying, intimidation, and harassment to avoid potential violence at work.
Written Plan Template: We provide a template document that can easily be edited to your organization. The template includes charts, forms, investigation templates, and a TofC. We also provide recommendations for what to review in the written plan to ensure that it is consistent with your process and policies.
Free Resources: We include an emergency response poster, active shooter poster, free forms and Investigations training, a Powerpoint to lead your discussion of your plan, email with directions, etc. For over 100 employees we set up a dedicated webpage with your logo and written plan for easy access.
